Will Quentin Tarantino’s Inglorious Bastards see the Green Light of day?
According to Nikki Finke’s Hollywooddeadlinedaily.com website, Quentin Tarantino is in talks with Brad Pitt to star in his long-in-development World War 2 film, INGLORIOUS BASTARDS. The movie is described as a Dirty Dozen-like story about a group of soldiers caught behind enemy lines According to the Hollywood Reporter, Harvey Weinstein will co-produce and Tarantino is shopping the script to at least four big studios including Sony, Warner Bros, Paramount and. Universal for financial backing. Considering the huge financial failure of GRINDHOUSE it will be interesting to see if the studio that backs this project will give Tarantino complete creative control.
Let’s be honest, while Quentin has a big fan base following his movies (Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill Volume 1&2 and GrindHouse), they haven’t exactly been box office blockbusters – although GrindHouse is his only movie to leave its backers in the red. If Tarantino puts his usual over the top hard R ultra violent spin on the material (and we know that he will) that will most definitely limit the potential box-office as it might alienate the mainstream crowd. Still I think this movie has the potential to be something really special as I have no doubt Tarantino will most certainly assemble a great cast of actors to make this something to look forward to in a big time way. The director would like to begin filming this October for a 2009 release. Latino Review sums up the script online and calls it a masterpiece. Here’s the LINK.

This is a Movie I hope gets Made.Tarantino is one of my all time favorite movie makers..And though I LOVED Death Proof You knew that was not going to be a big mainstream movie.
However if he gets the right cast …Pitt and other big name stars Inglorious Bastards would fly.
Also would like to say that I think this a Great Movie Website!!!!
