It’s slowly starting to feel like fall is approaching as Television networks start to promote many of their returning older shows plus the new fare. Programs I’ll be setting up on my DVR include Lost (TV’s best), Grey’s Anatomy (still highly enjoyable), Terminator: Sarah Conner Chronicles (Really dug season one), 24 (I look for a bounce back year creatively), Friday Night Lights (never saw a bad episode), Heroes (has to be better than last season) Nip Tuck (Still a great guilty pleasure), Dexter ( Michael
C. Hall rules) and ER (still a must see for me) which will mark the long running series final year. Hard to believe but I’ve seen every episode from the beginning.
As of Tuesday, The Dark Knight is now up to 333.9 mill in ticket sales, continueing its record breaking pace. Sex in the City hit the 150 mill mark in domestic ticket sales over the weekend, putting its overall worldwide total
to 372 mill. That’s on a budget of 65 mill to make – pretty impressive! Plans are reportedly underway to develop a follow-up. This could really develop into a very nice movie franchise for Warner’s New Line cinema division. If all four actresses don’t go along for the ride they’re NUTS!
More reviews are starting to pop up on Rotten Tomatoes for Universal’s The Mummy 3 and everyone is NEGATIVE… OUCH! Kevin Costner’s comedy, Swing Vote, is currently running 50/50. Costner was cool as Mr. Brooks so hopefully this film will deliver. Question is – will it have an audience?
I don’t know what to make of the popular Monsters and Critics website’s somewhat vague story about Angelina Jolie being in talks to play Catwoman in a movie. If there’s any truth to this it would have to be a standalone Catwoman movie. It’s just way too early for it to be in the Chris Nolan Batman universe; a place where I feel that character wouldn’t belong! Link to Story
