Trailer to THE WRESTLER
Fox Searchlight has released the trailer to director Darren Aronofsky’s THE WRESTLER, a film that received raves when it premiered at the Toronto film festival a few months ago. Major praise has gone to the film’s star, MICKEY ROURKE, who could emerge as a major contender for a best actor Oscar. This also has the potential to be a fascinating human interest story if he were to get nominated, considering his career downfall over the last two decades. This trailer looks really good with a Rocky Balboa type feel to it, featuring a Wrestling backdrop instead of the boxing one. Rourke’s life scars certainly fit the part. The Wrestler opens in a limited release Dec 17 before going wider this January.
