SHOWTIME’S NURSE JACKIE – entire first episode online
While Showtime’s new series Nurse Jackie starring Edie Falco (The Sopranos) doesn’t officially premiere until Monday June 8 at 10:30 PM, the pay cable network has decided to release it online for free in order to creates some buzz. Falco stars in the program as a New York City nurse who struggles to find a balance between the demands of her frenetic job at a city hospital and an array of personal dramas including drug use. While I’m choosing to watch it Monday, feel free to take a LOOK and let us know what you think!

As a former exec at Showtime’s rival company, I wonder how that rival feels about seeing Edie go from starring on their networks biggest show to this? I know they have no rights to an actress, but word on the street is that Showtime has now surpassed said network in show quality. Hmmm…keep it on the QT/Hush-hush.

The funny thing Rake, when I first saw Falco appear on screen here, I thought how much I miss The Sopronos. I did like Nurse Jackie as her character is totally fasinating. Highly flawed but in many ways very real.I’ll keep watching.
