The Road trailer 2
This is the second trailer to Dimension Films’ “The Road”, a film based on the Cormac McCarthy novel about the end of civilization. The film tells the story of a man (Viggo Mortensen) and his young son (Kodi Smit McPhee) as they travel through a post-apocalyptic world gone mad. Robert Duvall, Charlize Theron and Guy Pearce co-star. Some of the visuals here are truly stunning. The Road lands in theaters November 25, 2009. LOOK

No matter how you slice it, this is a difficult film to sell. I have seen it, and I enjoyed it, but I think in large part due to the fact that I had read the book. I wonder if audiences who are fresh to the material will have a similar reaction.
