82nd Academy Awards announced
No real surprises here as it appears that many of the major awards will go to either Avatar or The Hurt Locker (both films were nominated for 9 Oscars each). With Ten films being included in the Best Picture category for the first time, District 9 got a nod and I’m glad it did.
Personally, I just can’t wrap my mind around how one can compare films like Avatar and The Hurt Locker, when one cost close to $300 mil to produce and the other just $15mil. Both are very good but come from completely different universes. I just don’t feel like they can be judged the same way. Go Avatar.
