Good review, too bad you didn’t post it until AFTER I wasted my money to go see this. I really had high hopes for this flick, I really enjoyed Derrickson’s “Emily Rose” and Jennifer Connelly is a fav of mine. I’m wondering if you or anyone else experienced any problems with the sound in the theatre? It almost sounded muffled throughout the whole movie?

It’s great that you mentioned Starship Troopers…I really loved that flick…and the Planet of the Apes? Awesome stuff, I wonder if they’ll ever release it on Blu-Ray and if so, will it be any better?

I guess the DVD release screwed up The Day the Earth Stood Still.The numbers no doubt ,were expected to be record breaking..The movie is simply superb and n yes the DVD was something that mnay people including me have been waiting for ..I wont be surprised if the figures keep shooting up.
n yes watching the movie on a blue ray wud have been one hell of a experience

I agree that Rob Zombie does end to go overboard when it comes to violence involving the female characters…just watch the Devils Rejects, but I really enjoyed his Halloween remake. I felt just as terrified watching it at 38 years old as I did as a little tyke watching the original.

The making of the movie was a treat to watch.and yes it definitely deserves to be on the Collector’s Edition.

Took the kids to see Madagascar 2 which was fantastic. It was hilarious with a lot of humor directed at today’s society. (that I got but the kids didn’t) Great film!
