Never Met a Zombi I Didn’t Like…

Universal has released the second coming attraction trailer to Public Enemies, the Michael Mann gangster epic that stars Johnny Depp as charismatic depression-era bank robber John Dillinger and Christian Bale as FBI agent Melvin Purvis. This second trailer fleshes out the story even more than the first one while creating a better overall mood. It will be interesting to see if this film will have the huge appeal of a big summer film considering Transformers: Rise of the Fallen will be in theaters at the same time, opening one week before Mann’s film. Public Enemies hits theaters July 1, 2009.

  1. I was a little concerned after the first trailer, but this one definitely has more of a Mann feel to it. Mann is a top-notch director and I love the look of his films. It will be interesting how much of that “cool” vibe he has in this film, the stuff he took from Miami Vice (TV show) and brought to his films like Collateral, Heat and so on. This instantly re-raises the radar level for me. Looking forward to it.
