Never Met a Zombi I Didn’t Like…

American Reunion trailer

As soon as I saw the first scene in this trailer I knew they got this right. This will be a funny movie. The newest installment in the American Pie franchise brings back the entire cast of the original and they look in fine form with  Jason Biggs, Allyson Hannigan, Seann William Scott, Mena Suvari, Shannon Elizabeth, Tara Reid, Chris Klein, Eddie Kaye Thomas, Thomas Ian Nicholas and Eugene Levy up to their old tricks.

I’m a fan of this franchise and look forward to seeing this film when it hits theaters April 6, 2012.

Lions Gate Entertainment screened a rough cut of its new Larry Charles (Borat) directed documentary RELIGULOUS, which features Bill Maher tackling the subject of Religion, at the fourth annual Traverse City, Michigan, film festival ( founded by Michael Moore) over the weekend. According to the AintItCool website, reaction from a few viewers were split between believers and skeptics. No surprise there, as that’s exactly the type of reaction this will certainly get when it comes out in October!

Actually, this film might get as much media play on TV and radio talk shows as Oliver Stones, W., which comes out one month later. Both films are being released by Lions Gate Entertainment which has never been scared of controversy (Fahrenheit 9/11 and the Saw movies). By the way, here’s a look at the poster and a photo still from Oliver Stones W..

Universal just released a trailer to their new fall comedy, ROLE MODELS. It stars Paul Rudd (Knocked Up) and Seann William Scott (American Pie) as two guys ordered to enroll in a community service program mentoring young kids. Rudd has now become one of the really terrific comic actors working in movies today, although most people in the general public don’t know his name when they see him. Anyway this really looks pretty good. It hits theaters Nov 14th. TAKE A LOOK
